Prayer for Peace features a variety of world music artists performing songs with a peaceful message. Some of the featured performers include Joanne Shenandoah ("Peace and Power"), R. Carlos Nakai and Peter Kater ("Surrender"), Mary Youngblood ("Yuba"), and Robert Mirabal ("Painted Cave"), along with several others. Many of the performers compose their own songs, and there are a number of duets featured on this compilation.
