Precision Dynamics Corp. (PDC) will never experience an identity crisis. The company makes bar code and radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems (wrist and ankle bands and scanners) to identify hospital patients, ticket holders in entertainment venues, people in police custody, and corpses (for which it also makes cadaver bags). Its animal ID products include collar bands for use in veterinary offices and shelters. It also makes label systems for use in pharmacies and medical facilities under the Pharmex and TimeMed brands. Precision Dynamics was co-founded in 1956 by company director Walter Mosher. Private equity firm Water Street Healthcare Partners maintains a controlling stake in the company.
