Preco Electronics makes the PreView line of vehicle safety and collision warning systems to the construction, waste, mining, and utility industries. PreView works by sending out radar pulses that bounce back to provide the location and distance of other objects in the area. The company sold its PreCise wireless fleet information management systems business to FORCE America in 2009, and its backing-up warning alarms (Bac-A-Larm) and safety lighting (PreMier) product lines to Electronic Controls Company in 2008. Preco Electronics was established in 1947 as a rebuilder of automotive batteries, generators, starters, and water pumps.
