Prestfelde School is an independent coeducational day and boarding preparatory school, located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England for children between the ages of 3 and 13. There are currently 300 pupils on roll, with 24 of them currently boarding.

Since 1949 the school has formed part of the Woodard Schools group, founded by the Christian educationalist the Reverend Nathaniel Woodard and as such is affiliated to the largest group of Church of England schools in the country. Whilst originally a school for boys it diversified during the late 1990s and now also accepts girls.

The school is set in 30 acres (120,000 m2) of grounds on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, close to the Lord Hill column.

Notable Old Prestfeldians

  • Eric Lock, a Battle of Britain RAF pilot born in Bayston Hill. One of The Few, Lock shot down sixteen and a half Luftwaffe aircraft, ranking as second for number of kills during the battle and the highest scoring British-born pilot. He went on to reach a total of twenty six victories in less than a year before being killed in action at the age of just twenty one.
