Prevotella intermedia (formerly Bacteroides intermedius) is a gram-negative anaerobic pathogen involved in periodontal infections, including gingivitis and periodontitis. It thought that P.Intermedia is more prevalent in paients with noma known also as Cancrum oris . [1]
