FreshCo. is a Canadian chain of discount food stores owned by Sobeys Inc..
The first eight FreshCo stores launched on May 12, 2010 in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario. By April 2012, there were 68 FreshCo stores across Ontario.
Many of the stores were renovated and converted from Price Chopper stores.
Recently, with increased competition with Loblaw as it opens more No Frills discount grocery stores in Eastern Canada, Sobeys has begun closing some Price Chopper stores in the Atlantic Provinces, or rebranding them to its Foodland banner.
