This Gaumont drama is set in a Prisoner of War camp. At great risk, the heroine is able to penetrate the camp for a rendezvous with her patriot lover. Meanwhile, the lover's friends mount an offensive to release the prisoners from their hated captors. In the ensuing melee, the heroine is accidentally killed by "friendly fire," thereby paying the terrible Price of Patriotism. The film was originally released on the same reel as another Gaumont subject, Seaside Adventures at Home, which was dismissed as "too silly too give space to a description" by the Variety reviewer. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
