Prince Chunk (also known as Princess Chunk and Captain Chunk, real name: Powder) is a tabby cat, who at one time weighed forty-four pounds (two pounds shy from the World Record). He was found in Voorhees, New Jersey on July 26, 2008 by an elderly woman Donna Oklatner who nicknamed him "Captain Chunk", but couldn't afford to take care of the cat due to losing her home to foreclosure.[3]
He has now been adopted from the Camden County Animal Shelter by Donna Damiani, and his weight is down to 22 pounds.[2]
According to the Guinness World Records, the largest tabby cat was forty-six pounds and fifteen ounces.[4] Since then, they have dropped the category to prevent possible harm to cats.
He has made television appearances as on Live with Regis and Kelly, Good Morning America, Fox News, and MSNBC.
