Princess Christine Louise of Oettingen-Oettingen
Christine Louise of Oettingen-Oettingen (Oettingen, March 20 1671 - Blankenberg September 3, 1747) was Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg and the maternal grandmother of Archduchess Maria Theresa of Austria.
Biography
Christine Louise was the third daughter of Albert Ernest I, Prince of Oettingen and Duchess Christine Friederike of Württemberg.
She married with Louis Rudolph, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg at
Aurich in 1690. They had the following children who reached adulthood:
- Elizabeth Christine (1691-1750), married Emperor Charles VI of Austria
- Sofie Charlotte (1694-1715), married Tsarevich Alexei Petrovich of Russia, Peter the Great's son and heir
- Antoinette Amalie (1696-1762), married Duke Ferdinand Albert II of Brunswick-Lüneburg
The marriages of her three daughters were arranged by her ambitious father-in-law, Anthony Ulrich, Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel .
