Privilege From Arrest

The right of certain persons, granted by either a constitution, statute, or public policy, against being arrested while engaging in certain activities. For instance, the U.S. Constitution, Art. I, Sec. 6, Cl. 1, grants Senators and Representatives the privilege from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective houses, and in going to or returning from the same.
