Prix Saint-Alary

The Prix Saint-Alary is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It is run at Longchamp over a distance of 2,000 metres (about 1¼ miles), and it is scheduled to take place each year in May.

The event is named in honour of Evremond de Saint-Alary (1868–1941), a successful racehorse owner and breeder. It was established in 1960, and it was originally contested on Longchamp's middle course (moyenne piste). It was switched to the main course (grande piste) in 1987.

The Prix Saint-Alary serves as a trial for the following month's Prix de Diane, and eleven fillies have won both races. The first was La Sega in 1962, and the most recent was Sarafina in 2010.
