Production Rate

 

Coupon (interest) rate at which a Pass-Through Security guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA), popularly known as a Ginnie Mae, is issued. The rate is set a half percentage point under the prevailing Federal Housing Administration (FHA) rate, the maximum rate allowed on residential mortgages insured and guaranteed by the FHA and the Veterans Administration.
