Prokop von Templin

Prokop von Templin, also Procopius (Templin, Brandenburg, 1607-90, Linz/Danube), brought up a Protestant, was early converted to the Roman Catholic faith and became a Capuchin monk, spending most of his life in Austria and Bohemia. His works, which include numerous titles published between 1642 and 1679, consist principally of collections of sermons and hymns. A 6-vol. collection of sermons, Catechismale, was published in 1674-5.
