Plot

In the spring of 2002, as Great Britain celebrated the Golden Jubilee honoring the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne, a number of musical events were held to honor the occasion, and this video records one such concert at Buckingham Palace, featuring some of the world's leading classical musicians. Prom at the Palace features performances from Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Mstislav Rostropovich, Angela Gheorghiu, Roberto Alagna, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, under the direction of Sir Andrew Davis. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
