This music company really hits the high notes. A unit of Sony BMG-Nashville (itself part of the music giant Sony Music), Provident Music Group is a leading Christian record label. The company consists of two entities: Provident Label Group, which produces music under the names Brentwood, Benson, Essential, Beach Street, and Reunion Records; and Provident-Integrity Distribution, which distributes albums to Christian retailers. (The company relies on sister firm BMG Distribution to get its records into general music stores.) Provident Music's artist roster includes Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith, Jars of Clay, and P.O.D.
