The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), based in New York City, is a pre-professional public relations organization. Founded in 1968 by its parent Society, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the organization has grown to more than 9,600 members and 285 Chapters at colleges and universities in 43 states and the District of Columbia link.

The Public Relations Student Society of America serves its members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities. PRSSA also aids in enhancing the public relations profession by helping to develop highly qualified, well-prepared and ethically astute professionals.

PRSSA members are eligible for benefits that include: -The opportunity to travel and network with students and professionals at the annual National Conference, National Assembly and numerous Regional Activities held across the country -The opportunity to gain recognition and money through awards and scholarships -The opportunity to gain leadership skills through professional development -Access to exclusive publications and web-based tools -Unique professional relationships and internship opportunities with top public relations agencies
