Puliyankudi is a city and a municipality in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001^[update] India census^[1], Puliyankudi had a population of 60,142. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Puliyankudi has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 54%.
