Review

Here's a nice set of old Fred Astaire tunes largely taken from his many motion pictures. Tracks like "Night and Day," "Cheek to Cheek," "A Fine Romance," "Fascinating Rhythm," and the title track are ingrained into Astaire's personality, and these versions demonstrate the magic of a performer who could put over a song with only average singing skills. Transfers are generally decent, although a bit fusty and distorted in spots -- not surprising considering the age and source of the material. ~ Cub Koda, Rovi
