Pyrophosphatase

Any enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of central pyrophosphate linkages.

Pyrophosphatase are acid anhydride hydrolases that act upon diphosphate bonds.

Examples include:

• Inorganic pyrophosphatase
• Thiamine pyrophosphatase
