Qitaihe

Qitaihe (Chinese: 七台河; pinyin: Qītáihé) is a prefecture-level city in Heilongjiang province of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 6,621 square kilometers and a population of 860,000.

Coal mining is an important industry. Other major cities with coal mining within the province include Hegang.

Qitaihe began its development when mining started in 1958.
