Qitaihe (Chinese: 七台河; pinyin: Qītáihé) is a prefecture-level city in Heilongjiang province of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 6,221 square kilometers and a population of 890,000.
Coal mining is an important industry. Qitaihe is the only pilot city for coal recycling in Heilongjiang. Other major cities with coal mining within the province include Hegang.
Qitaihe began its development when mining started in 1958.
