Yet another Death Cab for Cutie side project. Although not as perfect as All Time Quarterback, the Revolutionary Hydra holds it's own pop that combines Superchunk, Pavement, and Guided By Voices with an additional lo-fi production. Not as good as their full-time band -- nor as good as their comparisons for that matter. But the gentle guitars and all-around fun presence of Queen of the Gravity Urge gives the Revolutionary Hydra the potential that their other releases could live up to All Time Quarterback's level of classic, indie side bands. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
