Review

Quiet Latitudes is a set of electro-acoustic ambience from Anthony Boast and Walter Christian Rothe. They wrap and warp the instruments using the natural sonorities, echo and electronic processing techniques. These atmospheres are smoooooth. This disc is a journey to points unknown. Rothe and Boast take it beyond the limits of sanity to deeper questions of insanity. Listeners in this psychedelic circus will follow the lunacy willingly. Interestingly, the pace is slow, even languid. There are plenty of opportunities to leave but the compelling nature of these soundscapes invites -- even demands - deeper exploration. This CD will appeal to fans of Matt Borghi, Stephen Philips, Scott Kungha Drengsen and Jim Finks ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
