Jonathan Ryan Quinn (born February 27, 1975) is a former American football quarterback in the NFL. He was originally selected with the 25th pick of the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft out of Middle Tennessee State University by the Jacksonville Jaguars.[1] He has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears. Quinn transferred to Middle Tennessee State after one year at Tulane University.

Playing history

Quinn was the starting quarterback for the 2001 World Bowl champion Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe, where he was the league leading passer throwing for 2,247 yards, and was named the MVP of the world bowl.[2]

Quinn was signed by the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League (AFL) during the 2006–2007 offseason, but retired due to injury.

College coaching

From 2007 to 2008, Jonathan was the offensive coordinator for MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. On Friday, April 3, 2009 he was named as the new head football coach for MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU).[3][4]

Quinn is the current head college football coach for the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers located in Olathe, Kansas. He held that position since the 2009 season. His coaching record at MidAmerica Nazarene was 29 wins and 7 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2011 season, this ranks him #4 at MidAmerica Nazarene in total wins and #1 at the school in winning percentage (.806).[5]
