Quinquatrus

Quinquatrus, in Roman religion, a festival celebrated on 19–23 March, starting five (quinque) days after the Ides, whence perhaps its name. The first day commemorated the birthday of the goddess Minerva; the last day was the Tubilustrium. The festival was celebrated especially by those whose activities were under the care of the goddess, such as spinners, weavers, and dyers.
