Rabbit Hunting

Rabbit hunting is a situation in which the pot is won before all community cards are shown. Afterward, one of the losing players asks to see what the remaining community cards would have been, in order to see if their folded hand would have been strong enough to have won the pot. In general, this act is considered poor manners.

SoundPoker Says: Rabbit hunting is a situation where a player wants to see "what could have been" if all of the community cards were dealt. For example, in Texas Hold'em a weak player folds their 8-9 hole cards after an A-J-7 flop, but then asks to see if the turn or river cards would have been a 10, which would have completed a strong 7-8-9-10-J straight for them. In general, Rabbit Hunting is only possible in home games, it's banned in casinos.
