race game
Race games are a large category of board games, in which the object is to move all of one's pieces to the end of the board.
This includes the category of cross and circle games, such as pachisi. In addition, the tables family of games, including backgammon. Race games are among the oldest known to archaeologists - the ancient Egyptians played senet, while the Royal Game of Ur is clearly a race game. [1]
