Rachel Friend (born 8 January 1970) is an Australian actress and journalist. From 1988 to 1990 she played the role of Bronwyn Davies on popular soap opera Neighbours. Other roles have included the films Frog Dreaming (1986) and Golden Fiddles (1991). She had a brief appearance in Round The Twist as a Mermaid
In 1990, she won the Logie Award for Most Popular Actress and appeared on the cover of TV Week showing off her new trophy.
In 1993 she married Australian actor-singer Craig McLachlan whom she met on the set of Neighbours. Their characters Bronwyn and Henry had also earlier married in the show. They divorced in 1994.
She married Australian cricketer Stuart MacGill in 2000, and they have two children. They recently hosted the Channel 7 show Saturday Kitchen on Saturday afternoon.
In 2003, Rachel established her own PR company, MediaFriendly, and as of July 2007, is producing and presenting the Seven Network's new parenting show, Mums and Bubs
In 2009, Rachel began hosting a television show on the Seven Network called New Idea TV alongside Barbara Northwood, Tom Williams and a variety of other presenters. However in October 2009, the show returned without Friend hosting.
