Rachel Waterhouse

Dame Rachel Waterhouse DBE, MA, PhD, Hon FGIA, HonDLiH(Lough), HonDSocSc(Birm) (b. January 02 1923 (1923--) (age 84)) is a local historian of Birmingham and the West Midlands of England, and national champion of consumer affairs. She has been past chairman of Consumers' Association, and a member of the National Consumer Council and of the Health and Safety Commission.^[1]

She was a member of the group which resurrected the Lunar Society around 1990 and became its founder Chairman. She was president of the Birmingham and Midland Institute for 1992.^[2]
