Railworld is a Transport & Environment Centre in Peterborough.[1] It is located beside the Peterborough Nene Valley railway station, but it is a separate organisation. Railworld has a superb model railway, tranquil nature haven and so much more.

Railworld has an American Alco S1 switcher diesel locomotive number 804 [2]. It is one of the five locomotives built by the American Locomotive Company for the Steel Company of Wales works at Margam.
There is also a Danish Pacific Vauclain compound, DSB No. 996 [3] built by Frichs in the 1950s.
Railworld also have a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) gauge Sentinel locomotive Nutty [4] which was used locally in the brickworks at Fletton.
Railworld has two vehicles that are unique:
Over the next few years a new exhibition centre is being built called the Transeco Centre.[5] This will promote sustainable transport as well as looking after the heritage vehicles.
Railworld is currently closed for the Winter and will open 31st March 2012, check the website for up to date opening times.
