Leader Head

Wikipedia: Leader Head

A leader head is a device used in roof plumbing to capture stormwater runoff from the rain guttering of a building.[1] While, generally speaking, such a device is known as either a leader head or a conductor[2] head within the fields of Architecture, Building Design[3] and Construction, it may be known as a rainhead by manufacturers in some regions of the world.[citation needed]

Leader heads are commonly made from sheet metal in the form of a box of varying shape and size which is open at the top and has one or more outlets to which storm water pipes (down pipes) or a leader are attached. Where they are used to collect water from a scupper they may be known as a Conductor head[4][5].

Leader heads are often used as architectural features on a building.
