Ralls Genet

Wikipedia: Ralls Genet

The Ralls Genet, sometimes spelled Ralls Janet or Rawls Jennet, is a cultivar of apple which originated in Virginia in the late 1700s. It is also known as Neverfail, Rockremain, Rock Rimmon, Winter Genneting, and (in Japan) Kokko.

Its name derives from Edmund Charles Genet, a Frenchman who gave cuttings to Thomas Jefferson, who then passed them on to Virginia nurseryman M. Caleb Ralls.

It was crossed with the Red Delicious to make the Fuji apple.
