The Ramanantsoavana's woolly lemur (Avahi ramanantsoavani), also known as Manombo woolly lemur or Ramanantsoavana's avahi, is a species of woolly lemur native to southeastern Madagascar.[2][3] It weighs about 1 kg.[3] It was originally considered a subspecies of Southern woolly lemur (A. meridionalis), A. m. ramanantsoavana, but was elevated to a separate species in 2007 based on molecular, phenotypic and morphological data.[3]
