Randall McDaniel (born December 19, 1964) is a former offensive guard in the National Football League. On January 31, 2009 he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was officially inducted in Canton, Ohio on August 8, 2009.
Career
He began his pro career being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1988 NFL Draft, and played with them until 1999, when he went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played there for two years until retiring. He is widely recognized as one of the greatest and most versatile offensive lineman ever to play the game. Set NFL record by starting in 12 consecutive Pro Bowls (1989-2000). Started 202 consecutive games in his career.[1]
During his time with the Minnesota Vikings, he would occasionally play fullback in short-yardage and goal-line situations. [2]
Recent career
During the 2006 season, McDaniel was inducted into the Minnesota Vikings "Ring of Honor".[3] Currently, McDaniel is a Paraprofessional at the Westonka School District in Mound, Minnesota.
He was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame in 2008.
He's now a full-time basic skills instructor for second-graders at an elementary school in Crystal Minnesota. Went to Agua Fria Highschool #88 retired his # Friday, October 23, 2009
