Sci-Tech Dictionary: ratio scale
(′rā·shō ′skāl)

(statistics) A rule or system for assigning numbers to objects which has all the properties of an interval scale and, in addition, has a natural origin, so that ratios of numbers assigned to different objects have meaning.

A scale which shows data which have been converted into another form. For example, an occupational group, such as teachers, may be shown as a percentage of the total workforce.
