Rautalampi is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 3,538 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 761.98 square kilometres (294.20 sq mi) of which 222.96 km2 (86.09 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 6.56 inhabitants per square kilometre (17.0 /sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
