Rays of Beauty

Album Review: Rays of Beauty

Review

Prolific Swedish experimental sound art composer Carl Michael Von Hausswolff worked with Leif Elggren, Phauss, and the Hafler Trio and has numerous albums on Touch, Sub Rosa, Fire, and Table of the Elements. This CD documents his minimalist audio experiments, which attempt to capture the mysteries of sonic phenomenon that go on just below listeners' threshold of hearing and transfigure these whispers into ghostly echoes of dark ambient noise. ~ Martin Walters, All Music Guide
