Plot

In order to survive, many species spend a great deal of their waking hours searching for food. Whether they hunt alone or in groups, these animals follow patterns that have evolved over centuries in this struggle to sustain life. In this film Reader's Digest: Nature's Great Events -- Great Hunts, the Reader's Digest camera crew follows many of these hunters as they pursue their prey. Featured animals include lions stalking buffalo, piranhas attacking an egret chick, crocodiles waiting in the rivers where herds will cross, and eagles preying on flamingos. ~ Alice Day, Rovi
