Biography

Officially known as the Reading Traditional and Step Dance Group, the Reading Cloggies are dedicated to the preservation and recreation of traditional English and Scottish dancing. Dressed in typical clothing of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the troupe expertly demonstrates the full spectrum of British dance. Formed in 1965 by dancers who were well versed in the folk dances, collected by the late Tom Flett, the Reading Cloggies host an annual clog and step dance festival in October. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
