Review

Glen Ricks has a silky, evocative sound, excellent range and a wonderful, convincing delivery that he utilized to maximum effectiveness on Ready For Love. This CD contained 11 mostly first-rate tracks, notably "I Wanna Give You My Loving," "How Can I Forget," "Over Again," and the title track. The arrangements, support and production were restrained and tasteful, with nice background vocals by Barry Wilson, Gussie Clarke and even Ricks himself. This was mellow, soulful and often hypnotic love fare, sung with warmth and authority. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
