Produced by Sheldon "Calibud" Stewart, this compilation is essentially a sampler for his Calibud Music imprint, and features tracks from Kulcha Melody, Flasha, Mickey Spade, and Junior Pinchers, with a few by Junior Pinchers & Juice, all recorded and mixed at Digital-B Music Studio in Jamaica. Pinchers' "Reggae Rumba" is fun, but the strongest and most impressive tracks (and the ones that are closest to being true "roots") are the four by Kulcha Melody, including the wise, wordy "Lord Have Mercy" and "Stress." ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
