Business Dictionary: Recall Study

Study done by a manufacturer and/or the government to determine whether a recall order is necessary. An effort is made to determine whether a product defect is an isolated case or serious enough to warrant having the product returned to the manufacturer to be repaired or replaced. A recall order would be issued if the results of the study were positive. See also Recall; Recall Campaign.
