Red Bank Catholic High School is a four-year private coeducational Roman Catholic high school, located in Red Bank, New Jersey, under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Catholic Education Association. Red Bank Catholic High School has also experienced widespread attention following the controversy surrounding Antonella Barba, a contestant on the television show American Idol and former student.
As of the 2006-07 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,133 students and 82.5 classroom teachers for a student–teacher ratio of 13.7.[1]
For the 2006-2007 school year, the school has 1,163 students enrolled in grades nine through twelve. The Class of 2010 includes students from 67 different communities and 71 schools. Red Bank Catholic High School has 88 full and part-time teachers, nine administrators, six Guidance Counselors, a Campus Minister (Mr. Charles Gates) and Chaplain. 40% of the school's faculty hold advanced degrees. The principal is Mr. Robert Abetamarco.
Red Bank Catholic High School's colors are mostly green and gold trimmings.

Athletics
Red Bank Catholic High School competes in the Shore Conference, an athletic conference made up of private and public high schools centered at the Northern Jersey Shore.[3] All schools in this conference are located within Monmouth County and Ocean County. The league operates under the jurisdiction of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).
The 2001 girls basketball team won the Group A State Championship with a 56-39 win over Paramus Catholic High School.[4] The girls basketball won the South A state sectional championship in 2007 with a 60-53 win against Camden Catholic High School in the tournament final.[5] The 2007 team moved on to win the Group A State Championship with a 43-40 win against Morris Catholic High School.[6]
The 2002 men's ice hockey team won the Southern A Conference Championship with a 7-5 over Middletown High School South.[citation needed]
Notable alumni
- Donald Brown (American football), current running back for the Indianapolis Colts.[7]
- Antonella Barba and Amanda Coluccio, both contestants on the sixth season of American Idol.[8]
- Harry Flaherty (1961-), former NFL linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys; now coaches football at Red Bank Catholic.[9]
- Al Golden, a Red Bank Catholic graduate, was offensive coordinator at Red Bank Catholic in 1993 and is now the head football coach at Temple University.[10]
- Sean T. Kean, member of the New Jersey General Assembly since 2002, where he represents the 11th legislative district.[11]
- Pat Kennedy, men's basketball coach at Towson University.[12]
- Charles O'Byrne, Secretary to the Governor of New York David Paterson, class of 1977.[13][citation needed]
