"Redemption" is a single released by Gackt on January 25, 2006. Its A-side and B-side are featured on the soundtrack of the Square Enix game Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. Gackt also played a character (Genesis) which appears briefly during an optional ending of the game. A limited edition of the single was published as well, containing a DVD with alternating music videos of the title track, one featuring the artist and the other being composed of footage from Dirge of Cerberus. Although "Redemption" was performed on the DIABOLOS: Aien no Shi to Seiya no Namida tour in 2005, it is not part of the Diabolos album.
The single was quite successful on the Japanese Oricon rankings, peaked at number 3 in the first week, stayed in the charts for more than 12 weeks and sold over 124,955 copies.
