(materials) Any of a variety of mixtures, such as fireclay-silica-ganister mixture, or fireclay mixed with crushed brick, or fireclay and silica sand, with a refractory range of 2600-2800°F (1412-1523°C); used for furnace and oven linings and for fillers.
