After an unsuccessful six months in France, he moved to Wales to play for the Llanelli Scarlets, where he is now contracted until 2009. Here he has seemed to find his form, and is now seen as one of the most influential players in the Magners League and even Europe.
He was recently voted the best outside centre in the world by readers of Planet-Rugby.com for their World XV 2006. This accolade was made all the more poignant by the fact that King was the only one of the players voted into the side that hadn't played any international rugby in the preceding 12 months.
