Reggie Bannister

Reginald Horace "Reggie" Bannister ^[1](born September 29, 1945) is an American actor, musician and director, possibly best-known for his role as Reggie, a balding ex-ice cream man, in director Don Coscarelli's Phantasm series^[2]

Biography

Bannister is known for his four barrel shotgun weapon used in the Phantasm series in which he starred alongside A. Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury and Angus Scrimm. He also composed the song "Have You Seen it" (used in Phantasm IV) and arranged (with Bill Thornbury) "Sitting Here at Midnight". Bannister has appeared in dozens of films and worked with such notables as Ossie Davis, Bruce Campbell, Ella Joyce, Daniel Roebuck, Andy Griffith, Joe Estavez and many, many others. He has also lent his name to many wireless internet networks in Glasgow, Scotland.
