Reginald Bartholomew (born 17 February 1936 in Portland, Maine) is an American diplomat and former United States Ambassador to Lebanon (1983–86), Spain (1986–89), and Italy (1993–97). He is a member of the American Academy of Diplomacy and Council on Foreign Relations. He is also a former member of the United States National Security Council (1977–1979). From 1964 to 1968, he was a professor of government at Wesleyan University.[1]
