Banking Dictionary: Regulation 9

Regulation issued by the Comptroller of the Currency allowing national banks to operate trust departments and act as fiduciaries. Under Regulation 9, a national bank is permitted to act as trustee, administrator, and registrar of stocks and bonds, and engage in related activities, such as management of a collective investment fund, as long as these activities do not violate state legislation.
