Banking Dictionary: Regulation P

Federal Reserve regulation that sets minimum standards for security devices, such as bank vaults, and currency handling equipment, including automated teller machines. A member bank must appoint a security officer to develop and administer a program to deter robberies, thefts, and larcenies, and file an annual compliance statement with its reserve bank.
