Reinhard Mohn (born 29 June 1921 in Gütersloh, Germany, died 3 October 2009 in Steinhagen). Retired from media conglomerate Bertelsmann which his family owns. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Münster. Founder of the Círculo de Lectores (Reading Club) in Spain in 1962. He was awarded Premio Príncipe de Asturias in Communication and Humanities in 1998.
He was the founder of the Bertelsmann Foundation in 1977.
Reinhard Mohn was an honorary member of the Club of Rome. [1]
